The angle from the tee allows the option of taking on the left hand fairway bunkers to significantly reduce the length of the second. Given certain wind conditions, the hole is reachable in two for the longer hitter although bunkers guarding the front will require careful negotiation. An area of fairway extends to the left side of the green providing an option for those wishing to avoid these traps but get close to the green.
